Assistant Director/Educational Leader - Early Learning

Opportunity for qualified teacher to join our Early Learning team

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and collaborative person to join our Early Learning Centre in a full-time role. The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who is a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church.

As part of a cohesive team, you will be committed to articulate the vision for strengthening and building upon a strong foundation in line with the school’s learning framework.

Reporting to our Director of Early Learning, this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Development, implementation and reflection of a high quality program based on service values and philosophy in collaboration with the Director, educators and school management
  • Inspiring and mentoring educators regarding the implementation of service pedagogy/program to ensure compliance with the regulatory frameworks and regulations
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, educators and staff to deliver best outcomes for families and children
  • Casual relief in our rooms from time to time.

About You

With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into every learning experience. As a teacher at our school you will have a passion for engaging students’ love of learning, inspiring and fostering their skills, creativity and enjoyment through the Early Years Learning Framework.

Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree qualification and recent experience as an Early Learning teacher
  • thorough understanding of both the NQF and EYLF
  • evidence of ability to be a class leader in a multi-strand Early Learning Centre
  • collaborative, innovative and effective practice
  • highly relational interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents
  • a demonstrated capacity to work and contribute as a member of a curriculum team
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • flexibility and interest in working in an innovative and dynamic environment
  • excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms
